BOW RIVER / FULL DAY DRIFT

We spent 5 days with Logan on the Bow in August 2019. I have fished all over the US and Canada the last 30 years and have had plenty of guides.

Here is why we will be back to fish with Logan other than how much we loved the Bow. The dude is just super fishy and knows his stuff. He fished us hard by request and you could tell he loved every minute.

If you are an experienced angler or just beginning I would highly recommend Logan for a trip.

BOW RIVER / FULL DAY DRIFT

My dad and I went out for our first float on the Bow in October. Rookies to the Bow and far from fly fishing experts, we were both blown away by our experience with Logan. He is clearly one of the most elite fishing guides on the Bow River.

We finished our 26km float through some of the most beautiful scenery east of the Rockies, having caught lots of fish and gained a huge amount of knowledge crucial to fishing in this part of the world. It was one of my most unforgettable adventures, ever. Can't wait to go out with Logan again.

2 FULL DAY DRIFTS + WALK & WADE

My friend Dave and I fished with Logan Whitehouse three days, two floating the Bow River and the third wading a mountain river. Our experience with Logan was phenomenal. Logan is not only a highly-skilled guide with whom we caught many fish, he is relaxed and fun to be with. He guided the finest day fishing I have ever experienced. Upon my return to Alberta, I will without question fish with Logan.

P.S. Logan also handcrafts fine fishing nets. I ordered and gave one to my father for Christmas. He loves it.

BOW RIVER / FULL DAY DRIFT

I have been fishing (walking and wading) the Bow River for 15 years and it is still one of the most demanding rivers to read and to consistently hook fish. We booked Logan last summer to see if we could learn more about the river and it was immediately clear that he checked off two of the most important boxes: he knows where the fish are and he knows how to hook the fish! If you want to have a successful day landing world-class trout from the Bow River like we did, float with Logan!

ABOUT US

ABOUT US

Blue Ribbon_Trout Black.png

A river runs through it... literally. Blue Ribbon Guide Company is nestled in the heart of Calgary along the world class waters of the Bow River. Logan Whitehouse, Owner of Blue Ribbon, has been fishing the waters of Southern Alberta for more than a decade - and his passion for chasing big, healthy Browns and Rainbows on the blue ribbon section of the Bow has only grown with each passing season.

If the big waters of the Bow aren't your style, or you're looking for a change of pace and scenery, the smaller waterways surrounding Calgary offer seasonally excellent fishing as well. Blue Ribbon guides have years of experience exploring the muddy waters of the Crowsnest River in spring, walking the banks of the Oldman and Livingstone river on opening day, and throwing #20 dries to rising fish on the Little Red Deer River in the heart of summer.

Whatever your preferred adventure, Blue Ribbon can accommodate to provide you the most memorable experience on the water possible!
